NHRC issues a notice to Bihar Govt over reported assault of an SC woman on failing to pay interest on a loan in Patna

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued yesterday, a notice to the Bihar Government over the reported assault of an SC woman on failing to pay interest on a loan in Patna. Taking suo motu cognizance of a media report, the Commission asked the State Chief Secretary and the Director General of Bihar Police to send a detailed report within four weeks in this regard.
