In Ladakh, Lieutenant Governor Brigadier (Dr) B D Mishra formally inaugurated a day long national conference on Nalanda Buddhism at Central Institute of Buddhist Studies in Leh. It was organised by the Indian Himalayan Council of Nalanda Buddhist Tradition in collaboration with Ladakh Buddhist Association and All Ladakh Gonpa Association.
