Govt to e-auction 808 channels in 284 cities to expand Radio's reach in country

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur on Sunday said the government will auction 808 channels in 284 cities under the 3rd batch of e-auction, with an objective to expand the reach of Radio in the country. The Minister informed that at present, 80 per cent of India's geographical area, and over 90 per cent percent of the population is covered by Radio.
