Govt has no plans to merge or disinvest public sector banks in the current financial year: Union Minister Dr. Bhagwat Karad

All public sector banks in the country are in profit and the government has no plans to merge or disinvest public sector banks in the current financial year. In a written reply in Rajya Sabha the Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad said that during the financial year 2022-23 all public sector banks declared net profit aggregating to 1 lakh 5 thousand crore rupees.
