Flood alert in Bihar's Supaul, Saharsa, & Madhepura districts following release of water from Birpur Kosi barrage on Indo-Nepal border

In Bihar, a flood alert has been sounded in Supaul, Saharsa, and Madhepura districts following the release of more than 4.14 lakh cusecs water from the Birpur Kosi barrage on the Indo-Nepal border. The flood control unit bulletin says all 56 gates of the barrage have been opened due to the enormous pressure of the rising water level.
