Assistant High Commission of India in Kandy completes 100 years of its existence

The Assistant High Commission of India in Kandy has completed 100 years of its existence. Commemorating the occasion, the diplomatic office marked  the beginning of the centenary celebrations which will be held from today. The office was created in 1923 as the office of the agent of Government of India for the benefit of the Indian Origin Tamils who work in the Sri Lankan tea plantations.
