Asian stock markets on Thursday closed mixed. Singapore's Straits Times index and China's Shanghai Composite index added marginally up to 0.2 percent while South Korea's Kospi index ended flat. Asian stocks gained except China's Shanghai Composite which fell 0.2 percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index led the rally, surging 1.4 percent, Singapore's Straits Times index rose one percent, Japan's Nikkei-225 added 0.7 percent and South Korea's Kospi gained 0.4 percent.
