The government today said it is maintaining 1,658 old age homes across the country, and a total of 321 crore 97 lakh rupees have been disbursed to these homes. Addressing a news conference in Puducherry, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said Puducherry has five old age homes for which an amount of 51 lakh rupees was disbursed.
