In T-20 women’s cricket, India beat hosts Bangladesh by seven wickets at Sylhet to clinch five match series 3-0 today.
Earlier, having won the toss, India put the hosts in to bat first. A disciplined performance led Indian bowlers to restrict Bangladesh to 117/8 in the stipulated 20 overs. When the visitors came to bat, openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma put on 91 runs in just 12.1 overs to take India closer to a series win. Shefali scored the highest 51 off 38 which featured eight boundaries.
The Indian women will face Bangladesh for the fourth match of the series on Monday.
