In Swiss Open Badminton, India’s Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly have advanced to the pre-quarters of the Women’s Doubles category at the St Jakobshalle arena in Basel, Switzerland yesterday. They triumphed over the American duo of Kerry Xu and Annie Xu in the Round of 32.

In Men’s Doubles, Indian pair of Hariharan Amsakarunan and Ruban Kumar Rethinasabapathi have defeated the French pair of Natan Begga and Baptiste Labarthe in the Qualifiying round. In Mixed Double’s, N. Sikki Reddy and B. Sumeet Reddy have defeated Sâmia Lima and Davi Silva of Brazil in the Qualifiying round. Earlier in the Men’s Singles Qualifiers, Sathish Kumar Karunakaran defeated Uriel Canjura of El Salvador, while Sameer Verma beat Coelho de Oliveira of Brazil.
Today, Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikant, Kiran George, Priyanshu Rajawat, and other elite shuttlers will start their campaigns in the BWF Super 300 event.
