In Ladakh, to foster informed and ethical participation in the democratic process, the District SVEEP Team Kargil organized a comprehensive Voters Awareness Forum at the District Police Line Kargil. The event, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of police personnel, served as a platform to equip them with essential knowledge and skills ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Through a series of engaging sessions, attendees received training on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT), and various applications developed by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Led by the District SVEEP Nodal Officer, Ghulam Rasool, and supported by District Informatic Officer Iftikhar Hussain, District Level Master Trainer Mohd Shabir, and MTO of Distt Police Line Kargil, Kacho Sadat, the forum proved to be an insightful and enriching experience for all participants. The presence of esteemed police officers and members of the District SVEEP Team underscored the importance of collaboration in promoting voter awareness and democratic engagement.

Addressing the gathering, Ghulam Rasool emphasized the pivotal role of police personnel in upholding the integrity and fairness of the electoral process. He urged them to serve as role models in their communities by exercising their voting rights conscientiously and encouraging others to do the same.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of commitment among the police personnel to actively contribute to the democratic fabric of the nation. As the country gears up for the forthcoming elections, the successful conduct of the Voters Awareness Forum stands as a testament to the collective efforts towards building a more informed and participative electorate.
