Sensex was up by 171 points or 0.21 percent at 80,158 while Nifty added 48 points or 0.20 percent at 24,335 when the reports last came in.

In the sectoral index, Information Technology, Healthcare and TECK were trading in green, whereas Consumer Durables and Financial Services and Bankek were the three laggards, when the report last came in.
