In the Kashmir Valley, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Mahadev Gir Dashnami Akhara and performed Chhari-Pujan in Shri Amareshwar Temple Srinagar today. He offered prayers for long-lasting peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.

Chhari-Mubarak Swami Amarnath Ji shall leave for the main course of pilgrimage on Saturday, the 26th of August from Mahadev Gir Dashnami Akhara, Srinagar. Arrangements have been made for live streaming of Pujan that shall be performed at all-night halts en route to the Holy Shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji situated in south Kashmir Himalayas. The 62-day-long annual pilgrimage will conclude on the 31st of this month on the occasion of Shravan Purnima.
