Sri Lanka’s state-run petroleum company, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, has announced a reduction in petrol prices. The price cut is effective as of today. As per the revised rates, Petrol Octane 92 will be priced at Rs. 299 per litre, while Petrol Octane 95 will cost Rs. 361 per litre, reduced by Rs. 10. However, the prices of other fuels remain unchanged.
The price cut comes amid fluctuating global oil prices and follows recent calls for fuel price adjustments in Sri Lanka. Analysts suggest this move could ease transportation costs and provide minor relief to consumers.
