In Sri Lanka, the distribution of postal polling cards for the parliamentary elections scheduled for the 14th of November commenced yesterday at district secretariats across the country.
The Election Commission has announced that postal polling cards will be issued to about 7.3 lakh eligible voters. This marks an increase of approximately 23,000 postal voters compared to the previous presidential election.
Both the postal department and the district offices of the Election Commission have reportedly completed all necessary preparations for the distribution process. Official polling cards are expected to be delivered by this Saturday across the island.
The marking of postal ballots will take place on October 30, November 1, and November 4.
