Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 18th August 2023 jointly inaugurated the Youth 20 Summit -2023 at Rudraksha International Cooperation and Convention Centre at Varanasi. Today is the second day of four day Y20 Summit which is being held at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
The Youth 20 (Y20) Summit has been organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports under the framework of India's G20 Presidency.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur said that the Y20 Summit brings together young people from diverse nation as each facing unique economic, social and environmental problems and challenges and they are not limited to single country. He said , it provides a platform to work together to find solutions to tackle the challenges.
Mr Thakur added that India has the largest young population and the youth power is the power of the country which will make the country the third largest economy of the world.
Addressing the gathering, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in the last nine years, the Narendra Modi government has launched several youth-oriented schemes like Stand Up India and Start-Up India for promoting innovation and research in the country.
Our correspondent reports that after the inaugural session, panel discussions were held on various topics including on ‘The Future of Work and Job Creation and Mentoring Entrepreneurs and the Future of Work.
