In the Indian stock market, Sensex ended flat while Nifty closed marginally down in the special trading session for the Union Budget today.

The 30-share index at the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, rose slightly by five points, to close at 77,506. Conversely, the National Stock Exchange Nifty-50 slipped 26 points, to settle at 23,482. The broader market indices at BSE displayed mixed trend. The Mid-Cap index shed almost half percent and the Small-Cap index increased over 0.2 percent.
