S&P 500, Nasdaq Slip as Chipmaker Stocks See Profit Booking

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq ended lower yesterday as investors booked profits in chipmaker stocks, while they braced for producer price data and further clues on the inflation trend ahead of next week’s Federal Reserve meeting.

 

Nasdaq Composite closed half of percent lower and S&P 500 fell 0.2 per cent. On the other hand, Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.1 per cent.
