In Bihar, the South West Monsoon has become active in all parts of the state. Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded in last 24 hours in Gopalganj, West Champaran, Madhubani, Kishanganj, Araria, Purnea and some other parts. Due to continuous rainfall in Terai region of Nepal and catchment areas of rivers originating from Nepal, they are showing a rising trend in water level.
Parman river is also in the spate in Araria district causing flash floods in low line areas. Kamala Balan, Bagmati and Gandak rivers are also showing a rising trend in Madhubani, Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur due to incessant rainfall in their catchment areas. In Kishanganj a pillar of a small bridge on Boond River was damaged in Thakurganj block near NH-327 E. Due to the incident road connectivity is affected in the area located near West Bengal border.
