Six newly-elected MPs of Bihar, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh today took oath as members of Rajya Sabha. Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Jagdeep Dhankhar administered oath to these new MPs.  Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Dr Sarfaraz Ahmad of JMM and  Pradip Kumar Varma,  Banshilal Gurjar, Maya Naroliya and Balyogi Umeshnath of BJP took oath as members of the Upper House. In the Lok Sabha Dr. Shashi Tharoor of Congress who has been elected from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala today took oath.
