Six members of the banned CPI (Maoist) were killed in an exchange of fire with the police in the forest area near Mothe village in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana. They include two women. The police informed that two commandos of the elite anti-naxal force of Telangana Police, Greyhounds, were also injured in the exchange of fire and were shifted to a hospital. The police recovered five weapons, including two AK 47 rifles, one each SLR and 303 rifles, and one pistol, as well as live rounds of ammunition kit bags and other materials at the site of the exchange of fire. Further investigation is on while the identification process is underway.
