In Nepal, six Indian pilgrims were killed in a tragic bus accident yesterday. The bus with 26 passengers on board, was on the way from Kathmandu to Beni, when it overturned and fell into a river bank in Bara district. A total of eight people were reportedly killed, while 19 have been injured. All the six Indians killed, hailed from the state of Rajasthan.
As per officials, half of the bus is submerged in water and a search operation was conducted. The police department said that they have detained three people, including the bus driver following their treatment. The family of the deceased have been informed, while all those injured are undergoing treatment.
Road accidents in Nepal are very common due to the poor road infrastructure across the country. Another incident was reported on Wednesday where a bus fell into the river in Dhading district.
