In Sikkim, portfolios have been allocated for the new council of ministers led by Prem Singh Tamang. Chief Minister Tamang has kept with him the portfolios of Home, Finance, Planning and Development, Personnel, Power, Excise, Land Revenue and Disaster Management, Transport, Information and Public Relations, Information Technology and Skill Development.

For the cabinet ministers, Sonam Lama has been given the departments of Public Health Engineering and Water Resources. Rural Development and Cooperation have been given to Arun Kumar Upreti,  Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Printing and Stationery to Samdup Lepcha, Labour, Building and Housing to Bhim Hang Limboo, Urban Development, Food and Civil Supplies to Bhoj Raj Rai,  Culture, Health and Family Welfare to G.T. Dhungel,  Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services to Puran Kumar Gurung, Forest and Environment, Mines and Geology, Science and Technology to Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, Roads and Bridges to Nar Bahadur Dahal.

Raju Basnet has been given the departments of Education, Sports and Youth Affairs, Law and Parliamentary Affairs while Tshering Thendup Bhutia has been given the departments of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Commerce and Industries.
