Akashvani correspondent report: In Punjab, the trend to go abroad is quite common. Almost every parent wants his wards to settle there for a better future. To fulfill this dream without any problem, people usually offer toy airplanes in different Gurudwara Sahibs of the State. Now as per the order of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar regarding the ban on the offering of toys at Gurdwara Sahibs by the devotees in the name of devotion, the topmost body of the Sikh community, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has issued a circular to gurdwara managers under its control that this practice of offering of toys is against the teachings of Sikh Gurus and the Maryada. Partap Singh, the secretary of the committee, has appealed to the devotees not to offer toy planes inside the gurdwara sahib keeping in mind the reverence of the guru and maryada of the guru’s house.
