The Shimla-Chandigarh National Highway has been restored for light vehicles. It blocked near Chakki Mor due to frequent landslides triggered by heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh. Solan's Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhishan Thakur said the route will be restored for heavy vehicles soon.

On the other hand, the Mandi Police Administration informed that Kiratpur-Manali National Highway will remain closed for traffic till 3 p.m. today due for removal of debris and rocks near Chhemeel (छह मील )  between Mandi and Kullu. Traffic to Kullu will be open for small vehicles via Katola. Meanwhile, in view of the ongoing apple season, the state government has given instructions to restore all damaged local and link roads by August 15 so that produce reaches markets in time.
