Ashwini Vaishnaw today assumed charge as Minister of Information and Broadcasting in New Delhi. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan and Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sanjay Jaju welcomed Vaishnaw.
Talking to reporters after assuming charge, Mr Vaishnaw said, the people have once again blessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to serve the country.
Dr. L. Murugan today assumed charge as Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting in New Delhi. Talking to reporters after assuming the charge, Dr Murugan said that communication is very important to take the government schemes and policies to the last person of the country. He said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the country is marching towards Viksit Bharat.
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today exuded confidence that the foreign policy of Modi 3.0 will be very successful under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Talking to the media after assuming charge this morning, Dr Jaishankar said Bharat First and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam will be the two guiding axioms for the Indian Foreign Policy.
He said the influence of India has been steadily growing and other countries feel that India is truly their friend who stands with them in times of crisis. He expressed belief that under the leadership of Mr Modi, India’s identity in the world will definitely increase.
On India’s relationship with Pakistan and China for the next five years, the External Affairs Minister said it is a very big deal for a government to get elected three times in a row and the world will feel that there is a lot of political stability in India today.
He added that as far as Pakistan and China are concerned, the focus will be on finding solution for border issues with China and with Pakistan, India would want to find a solution to the cross-border terrorism.
Dr Jaishankar said it is an honour to be once again given the responsibility of leading the Ministry of External Affairs. He said that in the last term, this Ministry performed exceptionally well during G20 presidency, and COVID.
He said his Ministry was as the centre of crucial operations like Operation Ganga and Operation Kaveri. He added that in the last decade, this ministry under the leadership of Prime Ministry Modi has become a very people-centric ministry.
Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Dr Jitendra Singh is also slated to take charge as the Minister of Science and Technology.
He said, in the last ten years, Mr Modi has brought a huge change in the lives of people. He said, Prime Minister Modi has brought India’s economy from 11th place to fifth place.
Giriraj Singh today assumed charge as Union Minister of Textiles in presence of former Textile Minister Piyush Goyal. Pabitra Margherita also took charge as MoS in the Ministry.
Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi also took charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry. Union Minister for Petroleum and Gas Hardeep Singh Puri was also present on the occasion. Bhupendra Yadav also assumed charge of Environment Minister.
Kiren Rijiju today assumed charge as Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Minority Affairs. Mr Rijiju urged all parties and all the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for their cooperation.
He said the discussion on the future happens in Parliament and all members’ objective is to serve the nation. He said he, along with Arjun Ram Meghwal and L Murugan will take ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ forward from the Parliament. He also added that everybody should respect the mandate, be it the government or the Opposition.
Manohar Lal also assumed charge as Union Minister of Power.
Jitendra Singh also today assumed the Minister of State (MoS) independent charge of the Department of Personnel and Training. Expressing gratitude towards PM Modi for reposing his faith in him, Mr Singh said that the last ten years have witnessed a series of revolutionary governance reforms happening under the guidance of PM Modi and this would be a continuity of work.
Jayant Chaudhary took charge as MoS in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Mr Chaudhary said that his ministry will play an important role in achieving the vision and mission of Viksit Bharat.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Seth also assumed the charge of MoS Defence. He was greeted by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh before assumption of charge.
LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan today assumed the charge of the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Paswan said he will fulfill the responsibility that has been given to him with dedication, loyalty and hard work.
He also said that his department will directly benefit the farmers and will help in doubling their income.
Several Union Ministers of the newly formed Union Council of Ministers assumed their office today.
Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, Power Minister Manohar Lal, Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh L. Mandaviya and Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil will also assume charge today.
