Domestic benchmark equity indices today extended gains to the second consecutive session amid positive domestic cues. The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 993 points, or 1.25 per cent, to close at 80,110, while the NSE Nifty50 jumped 315 points, or 1.32 per cent, to settle at 24,222. The broader market at the Bombay Stock Exchange also ended in positive territory. The Mid-Cap index rose 1.61 percent and the Small-Cap index gained over 1.8 percent.
