The benchmark domestic equity indices settled the session on a positive note on Monday. Sensex jumped 341 points, or 0.46% to close at 74,170. Nifty too broke the two-day slump, and added 112 points, or 0.50% to settle at 22,509.

Global crude oil prices saw an uptick today. The Brent crude oil prices increased 72 cents, or 1.02% to 71.30 dollars a barrel. US crude rose 69 cents, or 0.69% to 67.87 dollars a barrel. In the Indian bullion market, 24-karat gold was trading at Rs 88,430 for 10 grams, and silver 999 fine was trading at Rs 1,00,860 per kilogram when reports last came in.
