India’s Equity Benchmark Indices registered gain amid mixed global cues on Friday. Meanwhile, in the broader market at the BSE, both Midcap and smallcap gained over one percent each.
The Sensex rose 182 points, or 0.24 percent, to close at 76,992. Nifty gained 67 points, or 0.29 percent, to settle at 23,465.
In the forex market, the Indian rupee added one paise to close at 83.56 against US dollar.
In the Global Commodity Exchange, Gold, for 5th August contract, was trading at 72,002 rupees per 10 Grams, Silver, for 5th July Contract, was trading at 88,880 per kilogram, when reports last came in. In the Global Crude Market, Brent Crude was trading at 83 Dollars and 27 Cents per Barrel, when reports last came in.
