Domestic benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading with marginal losses in the afternoon trade today amid persistent selling by foreign institutional investors. The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading nearly flat, with a loss of 39 points to 80,042, while the NSE Nifty-50 fell 41 points, or 0.17 per cent, to trade at 24,395, a short while ago.
In line with the equity market, the broader market at Bombay Stock Exchange was also trading in negative territory. The mid-cap index was marginally down 0.07 percent and the small-cap index was trading 0.33 percent down when the reports last came in.
