Sensex, Nifty Fall for third Day; Crude Prices Drop

The domestic benchmark indices today ended with losses for the third consecutive session. The BSE Sensex shed 139 points to close at 80,082, and the NSE Nifty fell 37 points to settle at 24,435. Both the indices dropped over 0.1 percent.

 

In the global crude market, Brent Crude was trading 1.41 percent down at 74 dollars and 97 cents per barrel, and WTI Crude lost nearly one and a half percent to trade at 70 dollars and 67 cents per barrel when the reports last came in.

 

In the Indian bullion market, 24 Karat gold was trading up at 78,940 rupees for 10 grams, and silver 999 fine is trading down at 99,690 per one kilogram when reports last came in.
