Domestic benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty extended their winning streak before ending today’s session at new closing highs. The BSE Sensex achieved a new all-time high of 85,930 in the intra-day and surged 666 points or 0.7 per cent before settling at a new closing peak of 85,836. Meanwhile, the Nifty50 reached a record high of 26,250 during the session before ending at 26,216, with an uptick of 0.8 per cent or 211 points.

The broader market at BSE underperformed the benchmark indices. The MidCap index ended flat , while Smallcap index was down 0.39 per cent.
