Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading with losses of around 0.9 per cent in the afternoon trade today as global trade concerns dampened investor sentiment. The 30-share BSE Sensex shed 670 points, to 77,190 and the NSE Nifty50 slipped 215 points, to 23,345, when reports last came in.
The broader market at the Bombay Stock Exchange was also trading with deep cuts. The Mid-Cap index dropped over 2.1 per cent and the Small-Cap index plunged two and half per cent, a short while ago.
