Amidst profit booking, the domestic benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, reached fresh highs during today’s choppy trading session. Sensex was trading over 480 points, or 0.62 percent up, at 78,535, while Nifty rose 0.46 percent to hit a fresh record high of 23,830 as of the latest reports.

In the sectoral indices, Bank Nifty surged over half a percent or 280 points, trading at 52,885 as of the latest updates.

All major Asian indices, except Singapore’s Straits Times Index, are also trading in positive territory.
