The domestic benchmark indices today ended with losses of over half per cent. The BSE Sensex declined 427 points, or 0.53 per cent, to close at 79,942, while the NSE Nifty shed 126 points, or 0.51 per cent, to settle at 24,341.
In the global crude market, Brent crude was trading 0.6 per cent up at 71 dollars and 56 cents per barrel, and WTI crude gained 0.7 per cent to trade at 67 dollars and 68 cents per barrel when the reports last came in.
In the Indian bullion market, 24 Karat Gold was trading up at 79,920 rupees for 10 grams, and Silver 999 fine is trading down at 99,020 per kilogram when reports last came in.
