India’s equity benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty recovered their intra-day lows, ending the session with modest loss today. The decline in the domestic indices can be attributed to the concerns about a potential slowdown in the U.S. economy.
At the closing bell, the Sensex, which is pack of 30 companies was down 203 points or 0.25 percent at 82,353, and Nifty50 broke its 14 days winning streak, ending the session with the loss of 81 points or 0.32 percent at 25,199. In the Forex market Indian rupee ended at 83 rupees and 97 paise against the US dollar.
In the Indian Bullion Market, 24 Karat Gold was trading at 71,550 rupees per 10 Grams, Silver was trading at 83,190 rupees per kilogram, when the reports last came in. In the global crude market, Brent crude was trading at 73 dollars and 95 cents per barrel, when report last came in.
