Senior IAS officer Govind Mohan today assumed the charge of the new Union Home Secretary. He has succeeded Ajay Kumar Bhalla whose tenure ended yesterday. A 1989 batch IAS Officer, Mr. Mohan was earlier holding charge of Secretary in the Culture Ministry.
