Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Parbhani, Maharashtra, after a rally in Nanded. He emphasised the NDA government’s commitment to inclusive development with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ over the past decade, highlighting the end of cross-border terrorism and promising further progress. Mr Modi reassured the public that the government is actively tackling poverty and ensuring the fair distribution of rations.
He also pledged to continue and complete pending projects if re-elected for a third term. In Parbhani, initiatives like providing medicines at discounted rates through 17 Janaushadhi centres, benefiting over a quarter of a lakh women through the Ujjwala Yojana, and vaccinating more than nine lakh animals demonstrate the government’s focus on welfare. Mr. Modi criticised Marathwada’s agriculture-dependent economy, with a focus on crops like soybean, millet, and sorghum, as having been neglected by past Congress governments. He highlighted the NDA government’s efforts, such as the Jalyukta Shivar scheme for farmers and the completion of the Lower Dudhana irrigation project in Parbhani.
He also mentioned the upcoming textile park in Amravati, which will further benefit farmers in Parbhani. The Prime Minister urged voters to support the NDA alliance for continued development. Parbhani Lok Sabha constituency goes to vote in the second phase on April 26. Mahadev Jankar from the NDA alliance and Sanjay alias Bandu Jadhav from the Mahavikas Aghadi are contesting in the Parbhani Parliamentary Constituency. Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Leader Devendra Fadnavis, RPI President Ramdas Athvale, Dr. Bhagwat Karad, and other alliance leaders were also present at the rally.
