Senior BJP leader Nityanand Rai meets LJP (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan in Patna

In Bihar, the BJP and Chirag Paswan-led LJP (Ram Vilas) are inching closer to redrawing new political equations. The senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nityanand Rai today met Mr. Paswan at his Patna office. He also took questions from the media after the meeting.

Apparently showing a bonhomie with Chirag Paswan, Mr. Rai said, the relationship between the Paswan family and BJP is very old. He said, it is an old home for him. Although he did not utter anything about the forthcoming Modi government reshuffle and the inclusion of Chirag Paswan in it.

It may be mentioned that two factions were created in LJP due to strife between Chirag Paswan and his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras. After the induction of Pashupati Kumar Paras in the NDA Cabinet, the relationship between the two factions of the party had been estranged.

The Jamui MP (Chirag Paswan) has always been critical of the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance government. Recently, the split group of Grand Alliance the former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha had again joined NDA.

Earlier, the LJP( Ramvilas) National President Chirag Paswan held an important meeting of its senior leaders this morning in Patna. The party leaders discussed several issues including the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Mr Paswan said that the Party has authorised him to take any decision including forging alliance for upcoming Lok Sabha and State elections.
