Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting as a part of the election campaign today at Mapusa in Goa. While addressing the public he said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi India got a strong Central Government for the last 10 years and said that India has become the third-largest economy in the world. He added that the current government has dealt with terrorism strongly. He assured that the mining industry in Goa will be resumed in the coming two years. He attacked the INDI alliance for its lack of proper leadership.
Voting for two Lok Sabha seats in Goa will take place on May 7th. This time BJP has repeated its candidate in North Goa and fielded a new face of Pallavi Dempo in South Goa. Congress has fielded former Union minister Ramakant Khalap and Viriato Fernandes as its candidates for the North and South Goa Lok Sabha seats.
