Seizure of Rs 4.28 Crore Worth of Inducements in J&K Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls

In Jammu and Kashmir, amid the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), enforcement agencies have made a seizure of money and other inducements worth Rs 4.28 Crore from the Union Territory even before the first phase of polling for the 18th Lok Sabha elections beginning on April 19. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that as per the data provided by the ECI in Jammu and Kashmir, different enforcement agencies, both from the Centre and Union Territory have seized cash worth Rs. 1.25 Crore; liquor around 24,000 litres, valuing Rs. 0.63 Crore; drugs valuing Rs 2.35 Crore; precious metals valuing Rs. 25,800; freebies or other items valuing Rs. 5.6 lakh in connection with country-wide crackdown on money and record seizures of inducements.
