Secretary of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Sanjay Jaju held a meeting with the Principal Secretary of the Tourism and Culture Department Sheo Shekhar Shukla in Bhopal on Friday to discuss ways to promote film production and exhibition. Mr. Jaju said a central portal has been created to provide facilities for film production. Similarly, in Madhya Pradesh too, there is an online system for permissions for films. He said that film production can be made easier by bringing these two portals together. Mr. Jaju has asked to provide facilities in collaboration with the state government for building film theatres in small towns. He said that the scope of this year’s International Film Festival of India will be quite wide, which will include many issues related to film production and exhibition. Earlier, Mr. Jaju held a review meeting with the heads of various offices of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Bhopal.
