Minister of State for Rural Development Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani today inaugurated the Saras Ajeevika Mela 2025 at Noida Haat in Uttar Pradesh. In the inaugural address, he said that Saras Ajeevika is not just a mela but a revolution in the lives of lakhpati didis. The minister said that through this mela, women are no longer just housewives but have become entrepreneurs. He said that women are becoming the leaders of the country’s progress. He said that Lakhpati Didi’s products will also reach the international market.
The theme of this Year’s Mela is Developing Export Potential of Lakhpati SHG Didis. Visitors are experiencing a diverse array of products crafted by Self Help Groups (SHGs) from 30 different states in the Mela. A total of 200 stalls are dedicated to the exhibition and sale of handloom, handicrafts, and natural food products produced by these groups. Additionally, 25 live food stalls representing 20 states are presenting their traditional cuisines and delectable dishes at Noida Haat. Approximately 450 members from SHGs nationwide are taking part in this Saras Aajeevika Mela.
