The Sahitya Akademi today presented the Bhasha Samman in New Delhi. Purushottam Agrawal, Bethavolu Ramabrahmam, Avtar Singh and K.G. Paulose were awarded for classical and medieval literature.

Rozama Chawngthu and Renthlei Lalrawna were jointly conferred the award for their contribution to enriching Mizo literature. Durga Charan Shukla bagged the Bhasa award for his work in Bundeli literature. While receiving the award, the authors also shared their experiences. President of Sahitya Akademi Madhav Kaushik presented the awards.
