Russian Cosmonauts celebrate India’s Chandrayaan 3 success at National Space Day in Chennai

The National Space Day was celebrated in Chennai with two astronauts gracing the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Russian Cosmonaut Sergei Korsakov congratulated India on the success of the Chandrayaan 3 mission by landing on the moon.

 

He said that it was a huge honour and pleasure to be in India on the first National Space Day. The future belongs to the kids of today, and the sky was not the limit. Appreciating India’s determination in space-related adventures, he said it is the hard work, innovation, and persistence that pave the way for achievements. It is remarkable to note that Sergei Korsakov has spent 194 days in space.

 

Aidyn Aimbetov, a Kazakh cosmonaut who spent ten days in space, said that he was happy and glad to be in India. A Tamil book on Let’s Go to Space written by Dr.Srimathy Kesan was released on the occasion.

 

Space Kidz India has sent five orbital payloads and three suborbital payloads. The latest is the light-weight deployer, which can launch microsatellites in space.
