In the Forex market, the rupee today appreciated 17 paise to settle at 84 rupees and 28 paise against the US dollar, supported by a firm trend in domestic equities. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, is trading at 106.95 in intra-day trade.
