In the Forex market, the rupee today depreciated by 61 paise to close at 85 rupees and 84 paise against the US dollar amid global market turmoil fuelled by escalating trade tensions. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 102.97 in intraday trade.
