In the Forex market, the rupee today depreciated by 9 paise to close at 85 rupees and 78 paise against the US dollar as the latest US auto tariffs pushed the Dollar Index higher, along with rising crude oil prices. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 104.35 in intra-day trade.
