In the Forex market, the rupee appreciated for the third consecutive session and registered gains of 26 paise to close at 86.55 against the U.S. dollar amid positive domestic equity markets and a weak American currency. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 103.36 in intra-day trade.
