Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr Jitendra Singh has stressed the ‘Rule to Role’ shift for result-oriented governance. He said that this shift ensures civil servants are better equipped to align their skills with the specific responsibilities of their roles.
Addressing the ‘Mission Karmayogi’ workshop in New Delhi today, Dr Singh highlighted a significant transformation in India’s governance approach, moving from a traditional rule-based system to a dynamic, role-based framework. He added that India 2047 requires rigid rules and adopt a flexible, role-based approach that enhances the country’s global competitiveness.
In the workshop, the Minister also spoke on Mission Karmayogi Prarambh which is designed to equip recruits for seamless transition into government roles.
Our correspondent reports that Dr Singh also launched four new features of the iGOT-Karmayogi platform in the workshop, which is aimed at enhancing the learning experience for government officials. Dr. Singh also released 20 new domain-specific courses under the Annual Capacity Building Plan of the Department of Personnel and Training. The Minister also unveiled the ‘Know Your Ministry initiative for the department and released new learning modules under Mission Karmayogi for capacity-building efforts across the government. Several officials from various Ministries and Departments attended the workshop.
